With the help of Philipp Hennevogl from Maschinenraum we could locate the first example of the very rare FAG Record in use. This press is a rare and heavy central driven proof press monster from the 1950s. Look at how beautiful this press looks with the construction of the feed board in these iron cast arms. Despite its beauty it is a complicated construction with that central driven motor below the press bed, which makes it labor intensive if maintenance is ever needed.

Since 2012, when I initiated the proofpress.ch platform I always wanted to find a FAG Record, since not even in the archive at FAG Lausanne there was much info to be found about this model. So this first example of the FAG Record is currently not really used and is sitting at Deutsche Meisterschule für Mode | Designschule München, München, Germany. But at least we found one!
